Dosage

Age Dose How Often

Adults + children aged 16 years and older

2 caplets
  • Every 4-6 hours, with a maximum of 4 doses in 24 hours if needed (minimum dosing interval: 4 hours)
  • Do not take more than 8 caplets in 24 hours
  • Do not take longer than 7 days without asking your doctor

Active ingredients:

Each caplet contains:

  • Paracetamol = 500mg
  • Caffeine = 25mg
  • Phenylephrine Hydrochloride = 5mg

Disclaimer

  • Do not use if you have known or previous history of hypersensitivity to paracetamol, Caffeine, phenylephrine, or any other ingredient in this product
  • Do not use if you are taking, or have taken, within the last two weeks, monoamine oxidase inhibitors
  • Do not be used with other paracetamol-containing products, decongestants, or cold and flu medicines.
  • Do not take in case of concomitant use of other sympathomimetic decongestants.
  • Do not take in case of Phaeochromocytoma.
  • Do not take in case of Closed angle glaucoma.
  • Do not take in case of Hepatic or severe renal impairment, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and heart disease.
  • Do not take in case of patients taking tricyclic antidepressants, or beta-blocking drugs.
  • Not recommended for children under the age of 16 years.
  • Patients should be advised not to drive or operate machinery if affected by dizziness.
  • Seek medical advice before taking this product if:
  • You have been diagnosed with liver or kidney impairment (Because Paracetamol is metabolised in the liver and excreted by the kidney in urine).
  • The hazard of overdose is greater in those with non-cirrhotic alcoholic liver disease. Underlying liver disease increases the risk of Paracetamol liver damage.
  • In Case of in enlargement of the prostate gland.
  • In Case of Occlusive vascular disease (e.g. Raynaud’s phenomenon).
  • In Case of glutathione depletion due to metabolic deficiencies.
  • In Case of cardiovascular disease.
  • If you are taking warfarin.
  • This product should not be used by patients taking other sympathomimetics (such as decongestants, appetite suppressants and amphetamine-like psychostimulants).
  • Panadol Cold & Flu Day caplet contains Sunset Yellow (E110), which may cause allergic reactions.
  • You are taking beta-blockers and other antihypertensive drugs or tricyclic antidepressants
  • This product should not be used by patients taking other sympathomimetics (such as decongestants, appetite suppressants and AMP-like psychostimulants)
  • Excessive intake of caffeine (e.g. coffee, tea and some canned drinks) should be avoided while taking this product.
  • If symptoms persist, consult a doctor
  • Keep out of sight and reach of children
  • This product is not recommended for use in pregnancy due to the phenylephrine and caffeine content.
  • This product should not be used while breast-feeding without medical advice.
