Dosage information:i
The right dosage of Panadol Suppositories to give your child will depend on their age and/or weight. Use our simple dosage chart below to match your child's weight (or their age if you don’t know their weight) to the correct dose for that group.

If your child weighs less than 18kg (or is under 5 years of age) or more than 41kg, please consult your doctor about adjusting the dose to suit them.

Do not give your child more than 4 doses of Panadol Suppositories for their age/weight group in one day or within any 24-hour period unless directed to do so by a healthcare professional.

Consult a doctor before giving Panadol Suppositories to children aged under five years.

How to use Panadol Suppositories

Panadol Suppositories are desgined in a solid, cylindrical shape, so they can be easily inserted into the rectum to dissolve and release paracetamol.

Simply insert the suppository into the rectum, larger/thicker end first. For ease of insertion, the suppository can be moistened first.

  • Always read the product label before use and do not exceed the recommended dose.
  • Panadol rarely has side effects when taken at the recommended dose, however if your child does experience any side effects as a result of using Panadol Suppositories, stop use immediately and consult a healthcare professional.
  • Panadol Suppositories contain paracetamol. They should not be used alongside any other products that contain paracetamol, as combining paracetamol-based medicines may lead to an overdose. Always read the product label on any other medication you plan to give your child in combination with Panadol before use, and consult with a doctor or pharmacist to check that it is safe to do so.
  • Keep out of sight and reach of children.
